Margot and
the
Nuclear So and So's
urban folk scarf rock
Margot and the Nuclear So and So's are the pioneers of an urban folk sound now commonly referred to as 'scarf rock.' Blending cello, trumpet and piano with a spacey wash of electronic noise, melodic guitars and clever rhythmic stylings.
They love pop and that's what makes them punk. They all have degrees, and that's what makes them smart. They read long books with big words and drink wine. They are very pretentious. Don't mention the old days to them. They are very old and bitter.

Digby
(Louisville, KY) ~ rock/brit pop
"Infectious, Weezer-esque punch insures this Louisville quintet high marks." -- SPIN Magazine
Louisville, Kentucky isn’t where you’d expect a band like Digby to hail from. With a pop/rock sound that breeds New York City intellectualism with infectious melodic Brit pop, Digby’s debut on Label X, Falling Up, feels good the whole way through. Some bands just have that gift of being able to sound like 100 different influences while still delivering their own unique sound, and Digby is a prime example.

“Rubber Planet’s live show is second only to their songwriting prowess.”
